Road Expo Ireland and Civilex are supported by:

Construction Industry Federation (CIF) actively represents and serves over 3,000 members covering businesses in all areas of the Irish construction industry through a network of 13 Branches in 3 Regions throughout Ireland and through its 37 Sectoral Associations.

CIF delivers its services to members either directly or through its Branch Network and Sectoral Associations. Member firms come from all over sectors of the industry and span all sizes of firms from the very small to the very large.

The current President of CIF is Mr. Hank Fogarty (SIAC Construction) & the newly appointed Director General is Mr. Tom Parlon.

Engineers Ireland is one of the largest and oldest representative bodies on the island of Ireland.  The membership which is now over 23,000 incorporates all disciplines of the engineering profession in Ireland across industry, the public service, semi-state organisations and academic institutions.

Engineers Skillnet training network offers cost effective, industry led training for engineers in business and management, specialising in areas such as:  communication skills, business and leadership and management skills.  

The network is an industry led network part of Skillnets Networks set up by industry and the initiative of Engineers Ireland, to support the continuing professional development of engineers from graduate, through to management and director level.

The network currently comprises of approximately 80 company members employing engineers and technical professionals across a broad range of industry sectors in Ireland including construction, consultancy, project management, manufacturing, automation, pharmaceutical and ICT.

The primary focus of the network is:

  • 1. To equip engineers with the business skill sets to improve productivity within their companies.
  • 2. To ensure that the training specifically caters for the needs of the engineering sector in an increasingly competitive and challenging marketplace.
  • 3. To provide customised enterprise-led training that has been developed with engineers input.
  • 4. To address the skill gap in the engineering profession in Ireland, enhancing the strong technical capabilities with business management skills as identified by the Enterprise Strategy Group Report (2004).

The National Roads Authority (NRA) was formally established as an independent statutory body under the Irish Roads Act, 1993 with effect from 1 January, 1994.

The Authority's primary function, under the Roads Act 1993, is 'to secure the provision of a safe and efficient network of national roads'. For this purpose, it has overall responsibility for planning and supervision of construction and maintenance works on these roads.

The Authority's aim is to improve quality of life and national economic competitiveness by developing, maintaining and operating the national road network in a safe, cost effective and sustainable manner.

By 2010 the National Roads Authority will have completed the major inter urban routes linking Dublin with Belfast, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford.

The Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) represents surveyors working within the civil engineering industry.

ICES supports the professional development of surveyors working within commercial management and geospatial engineering. Governed by an elected council, ICES encourages members to be part of the future development of the profession by joining the various committees and panels.

ICES is the only associated body of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and is an active member of both the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) and PI-UKChina. With regional events throughout the UK, Ireland and Hong Kong, ICES continues to develop through its membership.

The Association of Building Engineers is a professional body whose members specialise in the technology of building.  Their work covers technical and management processes for building design, construction, renewal and maintenance.
