We will be displaying the following:
Routescene - video asset inspection and mapping system. Routescene is a complete turnkey system, which together with review software is used for highway inspection and asset inventory surveys. Routescene records high resolution video and GPS information along a route from a moving vehicle which can afterwards be reviewed in the office from the comfort of a PC. Routescene reduces the need for site visits and provides a permanent record on the state of a network. Routescene will appeal to any highway department or contractor who is responsible for a network and who are required to manage and maintain assets along a network. Routescene is being used by Local Authorities and contractor alike, both within the UK and overseas, to inspect motorway networks and investigate accident blackspots.
ESRI ArcGIS - Geographical Information System technology. ESRI's ArcGIS is an ideal tool to manage, analyse and create maps of your network. ArcGIS can be used as stand-alone or integrated into a Corporate network, enabling other stakeholders to share and exchange information relating to your network. The software provides the ability to overlay and analyse multiple geographical datasets (e.g Ordnance Survey MasterMap, road networks, asset registers, location of road defects, etc) and will appeal to both highway department or contractor who is engaged in road maintenance, construction and planning. The Routescene review software uses ArcGIS to manage and play back all information collected during an inspection survey.
The latest version of the GPScamera now supports a range of high resolution digital video cameras giving high definition imagery along a route. Automatic light compensation enables the GPScamera to be used in varying light conditions encountered along a route ensure the quality of the imagery is as good as possible. The GPScamera is a compact and lightweight unit containing a survey-grade GPS receiver and video camera, it is easily mounted on any vehicle. A single cable connects the GPScamera to the Routescene RS100 recorder making the installation and operation simple and straight forward.
The Routescene RS100 geo-referenced video recorder is continuously evolving and additional functionality in the software now allows the user to choose from a range of different video image sizes, from full screen to ¼ size, from wide screen to portrait. The RS100 now contains the Intel Pentium Dual core processor enabling the unit to record video at a much higher frame rate, which in turn has the benefit that inspection surveys can potentially be performed at higher speed.
